ConnectiCon 2017 - Cammy(PS) 04

Gawd... this shot is very memorable but not for good reasons...  I had standing on this high platform for this shot and I rotated the head of the lightstand so that it was aiming up at her(why I didn't just angle the damn thing pointing downwards and elevate it higher than her is beyond me at this point ). About 5 shots later we hear a crash! The flash fell out of the head of the lightstand and smashed into the hard stone floor below. It looked perfectly fine so we continued on. 5 minutes later we hear a loud explosion coming from the direction of the lighstand! Clearly the flash was dead at that point but we weren't quite sure why(I jokingly said the shoot had gotten "too hot for the flash to handle so it fainted"). It took me awhile to figure out later but apparently the flash had a delayed reaction after hitting the floor and the bulb exploded a few minutes after. It definitely sucks cause I was just getting used to have two flashes on-hand but at the very least I don't have to worry about carrying so much stuff now so that is a positive.
